Ice Contours

Crisp, bright, freezing day fishing on the River Tweed. It was -4 deg C when we started, but the sun shone and it was fantastic.

Stood in the freezing river all day and threw little bits of fluff with hooks at the fish, but they weren't interested.

By mid afternoon, ice was forming on the rod rings and lines, making it hard to cast.

I fished alongside a kingfisher at one point - he was great and a lot more successful than us. Must have been a bit chilly on his tootsies when he dived in the river though.
