The 'Old School' Badge

This is the badge that sat on the front of my black beret as I journeyed to and from school in the dark ages!! ( Yes, folks, I even travelled by steam train!)
If we were seen in the vicinity of the school without our berets we had to do a detention. I can't honestly remember doing that because I was always too scared of missing the train home, so it made me obey the rules!!
Oh, for the days of discipline and respect!!
All this makes me sound soooooo old! Even though I'm a grandmama. I'm not that old, honestly!!
