Quails' Eggs

Now here's something you don't see often - quails' eggs.

My niece's husband's mother (crikey I hope I'm OK with all the apostrophes here !) has a partner (are you keeping up?) who owns a chicken farm and apparently quails enter into the picture somewhere, hence the eggs.

I never knew that a quail's egg had brown blotches - for some reason I thought they were blue - so there you go - you learn something new every day.
