Still Growing

I didn't expect a growing day today. It's November. But everyone seemed to be outside today: whistling and washing windows, nurturing the stumbling engines of big old trucks sticking out of back yard garages, walking dogs and babies, jogging, landscaping, shingling roofs, washing cars. The neighbourhood looked like a commercial for Reactine or maybe an antidepressant. Sunshine and warmth this late in the year will do that.

The slap and clatter of skateboard trucks and wheels lured me and the dogs in the direction of our nearby skateboard park where clusters of kids were honing their skills. Even when I got up close with the camera they were oblivious to me, focused on what they were doing. It was really great to watch.
