Arriving Home

At least the bus was on time tonight! What a day, rain and wind, a combination set to turn the meekest schoolchild into a whirling dervish. This afternoon my 'family' should have been playing cricket in this term's healthy family challenge but that was a non starter. Instead we all took our resting pulses then I challenged the hardier members of the family to four laps of the playground. The mistake they make is going all out at sprint speed from the off, whereas this ageing tortoise kept up a steady jogging pace, despite being lashed by the elements - who won? I leave it up to you to decide!
