The power and the glory?

Well, the power station and the glorious sunshine.

Or a blip on the landscape? Hmm.

Either way, a whistling wind was blowing out there, which fair chilled the cockles.

It's been the kind of day that makes you feel you deserve a toasted teacake when you arrive home.
With lashings of butter.

(Did anyone apart fom Enid Blyton, in her ginger beer days, ever serve a 'lashing' of anything?)

And what are the 'cockles of the heart'? (Answers on a postcard please, to
The Queen's English, how she is spoke,
C/o 'Dick Van Dyke'...)
