Piles of Purple Petals

Rather than the tree itself, I thought I'd take a photo of the fallen petals of this Jacaranda. We don't tend to look around much, and I'd bet most people - those who haven't been bitten by the blipfoto bug ;-) - wouldn't go looking at petals on the grass by the side of the road as they walk to work ;-)

I think what photography gives the photographer is the impetus to notice those hidden aspects of things.
