House Construction 4

Our new house is making enormous progress--compare the state of construction five days ago, on Monday here. Our former condo-mate, who bought us out, is building the house on an adjacent lot and we will rent it from him beginning next spring.

A truss (framework to support the roof) is being lifted up to be put in place above the future kitchen/pantry area. Trusses for the the main roof are in the foreground; they were all put together by a specialized shop, according to measurements provided by our builders. See this LARGE.

What absolutely blows me away in this scenario (and you must look at Monday's blip to appreciate it, is that all the walls of the second story, and the walls of the extension toward us, were framed out, on site, by the four builders before being put in place, by hand, using nail guns to be sure. All that in four days--amazing.
