Topsy Turvy

Inspired by wintersixfour's magnifying glass, curiosity got the better of me and I went out with a magnifying glass too.

The bottom distant view is the inverted sky to the North East towards Forth and the more focussed upper section appears to be the reflection of the setting sun behind me to the South West. Odd thing is that there also appears to be an inverted version of that reflection?

Perhaps the bored physicists amongst you can try a ray diagram to explain it.
