Building Elements Number 3......Glazing

The third in an occasional series.......

A window in a nearby back lane, either an outside toilet or possibly a wash-house. The rusty metal hook in the wall dates from the days when washing was dried on lines zigzagging from side to side of the lane (even though these particular houses have allotment-sized front gardens most had a 'no washing' rule written into the lease or house deeds, along with not keeping pigs and chickens for good measure) It goes without saying that not a lot of washing went out to dry on the day the coalman came to call...

Bit of an emergency blip.....another few hours up the stepladders for me today......
