Funny Faces

It was the second day of the Snow Farm holiday fundraiser, and I volunteered to work as a cashier in the jewelry studio.

It was a lovely, buzzing, happy mob scene of people. The inexpensive items went fast. Some people were Christmas shopping, but everyone wanted a treasure or two for themselves as well.

Snow Farm, alias The New England Crafts Program, is a nonprofit organization located at a beautiful property in Williamsburg, MA, that is now owned by Josh Simpson, a very famous local glass artist. The glass studio was offering a chance to learn from the master and make your own Christmas ornament.

Glass and ceramic items by many artists were also on sale, plus textiles and wooden or metal items, some very practical and some, like the cute faces in this photo, delightfully whimsical.

It was a gorgeous day and everyone was in a great mood! I got to sit all day next to my friend Lynda, jewelry designer extraordinaire. I go back next weekend and the one after, so there will be more on this story to come...
