This Too Will Vanish...

By etherghost

A golden drive to the country to see my parents. I seemed to float along the old highway. The music played, I sang along. It felt good to be driving away from town, it felt good to be free. As I drive, I think of all the people in my life, some near and some far. I think how wonderful and brilliant my friends are and how I almost never feel alone because my friends are always with me. I am grateful.

Have soup, have conversation, and let's not forget the vegan carrot cake. Sit in the autumn sun until a massive cloud comes and hides it away.

My parents table catches the afternoon light, jazz filters in on the air from another room.

A lovely Sunday away.
