The Grand Rapids Art Museum (The GRAM)

Founded in 1910 and housed for many years in an old Federal Building, the museum moved to its new facility in 2007, and became the first LEED Gold certified museum in the country. The front doors open up to Rosa Parks Circle, featured yesterday. . 70% of the light in the 125,000 square foot building is derived from natural sources and it is a beautifully designed structure.

Currently, there is a special exhibit showcasing the life and humanitarian work of Princess Diana, and nine galleries are filled with personal objects, clothing (including her wedding dress), mementos, and home movies. There were some interesting things displayed. No photos were allowed in the exhibit but the museum recently relaxed its rules and now permits photos of the lobby, which is what you're seeing here.
