Dreich

Dreich is probably not a very Welsh word but it certainly summed up the Welsh weather today! This was my walk back to the hotel this evening and I was thanking my lucky stars I'd had the foresight to buy an umbrella on the way to work this morning!

My last one succumbed to the Edinburgh wind some months ago. *Sigh* no escaping the sh*tty British weather wherever you go.

Update: In response to a question from pooba, the chap on the pedestal is John Batchelor - "The Friend Of Freedom" apparently, because he campaigned against slavery
