At least it lifted a bit this afternoon and I got out to the gull roost at Amwell. Not great visibility and certainly no pictures. I've bought myself a book on gulls, they're awkward to identify with all their different age plumages, so thought I'd do some homework on the commoner species. You can look forward to some esoteric gull blips in future - no running away now, I've got my subscribers counted.
