The fool on the hill

Pointy Birds...

O pointy pointy
Anoint my head
Anointy-nointy

The miracle of it is, I didn't get shat on once.
I got to the reserve early and wandered off the causeway down into the reed beds whilst waiting for the influx. It was great - I lost count of the number of finches and tits I saw. It occurred to me that this is how nature used to be... before we came along and messed it up.
Then came the starlings: endless clouds of them. It was a spectacular scene. The starlings, when they decide to go in for a landing, pour from the sky like liquid. I am truly gob-smacked by it all.
I put a few more shots here.
