Dormant but not extinct

The east side of the Rio Grande Valley in Albuquerque is bounded by Sandia Mountain. The west by these volcanos. They are asleep, but not extinct. They could blow someday, but it seems unlikely. On the left side of the picture you can make out the snowy peak of Mount Taylor 95 miles away.
