in the box

Sometimes convenience's convenience can apparently overwhelm. It is unfortunate when an over-reliance on prepackaging is exhibited by people in their opinions and behaviour rather than just the things they consume. If you have to be a stereotype, at least be so unwittingly, not with apparent delectation.

Whenever over-tired or slightly ill the lighting in the toilets at work emphasises redness around the eyes, darkening bags beneath them and also makes tired people have to squint, exacerbating both features. Hopefully the colour temperature of those lights is a peculiarity and not something also found in the other places I had to visit today. Presumably shop staff would soon get completely sick of seeing ill-lit people and would adjust their premises' lighting rather than putting up with the occasional customer rendered zombielike by the unfortunate intersection of personal circumstance and illumination. Hopefully ten minutes out in the nice cold air since I'd left work was enough to make me appear slightly less manky, as the remainder of the journey home followed by a nice big honk of the snout upon arriving certainly made me feel significantly better. More sleep, starting now, will hopefully improve things further.
