Scarlet Tanager

While visiting a zoo in Massachusetts, we took a break from the hot summer sun. I was pregnant with Jack, and definitely needed to sit for a bit. Behind the bench where we sat was a wooded area....and while looking in that direction, my husband spotted this scarlet tanager in a tree. It was not part of a zoo exhibit, just a bird that happened to be there. He grabbed the camera and took this shot of this gorgeous bird!
