Another sunrise

I'd decided not to try another sunrise, but the colours and clouds were quite impressive this morning.

I started by taking some pictures of Venus through the telescope - unfortunately there were lots of thin clouds passing by which meant shooting in less than perfect circumstances.

I was inspired by this picture by seeingasiam and had tried a couple of times to get something similar.

So the dog and I went onto the park to get a good view. There were lots of seagulls waiting around.

So the dog and I ran towards them like mad things - camera in hand, and some of the seagulls lazily flopped into the air to add a little to the picture. So - its totally staged, well except for the sun and clouds.
