(Almost) Perfect Little Cat

I used to love Lesley Ann Ivory's paintings of cats, and they often seemed to be sitting on patterned rugs like this one. Couldn't persuade Jack to do a Perfect Little Cat pose, however.. This was the only shot that he stayed still enough to be in focus. He had a trying day as next-door's cat beat him up and he came in with his tail like a bottle-brush and the moggy equivalent of a black eye, poor little fella!
