Icy Fungi

I went off to Iping Common this morning with two dogs, one son and my dad for a frosty walk. Armed with our cameras we wandered around the heathland, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, for a good hour before returning for coffee and biscuits. There are lots of points of interest at Iping Common including a number of tumuli, a Roman road and a Roman station. The claim to fame of Iping itself is that H G Wells's The Invisible Man starts there (H G lived locally and in fact was both a pupil and later a teacher at my old school - long before my time, I hasten to add!).

Anyway, I've decided to blip a shot to symbolise the changing of the seasons: a frosty toadstool.
