Sometimes I think the best times were those in my Nan's house aged around seven with proper blankets on the bed and a potty underneath it. There was a glass of lemonade on the bedside table, "Just in case" and it was always wonderfully flat in the morning.

You always slept with the curtains open "So you can see the stars and the cars trying to get up the mountain on the other side in the snow."

You could see your breath as you drifted off to sleep.

A memory that will never fade.

I wonder why.
