Journey Through Time

Windows of Camas

I went over to Camas, Washington today with my son on an errand. Camas is a next door small town to Vancouver and it's always fun to go there and look around. It is anchored by a big paper mill which had a notorious reputation for many years due to the smell it produced. Somehow or another, and to the joy of many, this smell has been greatly reduced. The main street of Camas has many shops and some are thriving, some are hanging on, and some are just storefronts with For Rent signs in the windows. The street is lined with huge maple trees (I'm pretty sure they are maple...) and in the summer they look spectacular as they shade the main street and provide a wonderful canopy. In Autumn, the leaves turn and fall to their death but the graceful limbs continue to add decoration to the small downtown area. This is an upstairs apartment on one of the main buildings. The windows have a bit of European flair to them, I think.
