Loads of snow all morning, a dense floating kind of falling snow that was heavy without being blizzard-like, lending itself perfectly to some evocative ambient sounds from William Basinski, in particular the utterly majestic Disintegration Loops IV. Me and the girls spent the morning watching the snow fall in the park from our kitchen window, drawing pictures, listening to music. (In complete contrast to the Basinski we also quite enjoyed a fair bit of new Daft Punk stuff)

Had some snow action out on our drying green with the girls, started work on an igloo using a kids toilet step as a mould for the 'bricks', the students on the next green were busy building a scale model of Stonehenge using their kitchen swing-bin as their mould. It wasn't a fair competition, there were lots more of them. And anyway, mine is much more of a work in progress, Andy Goldsworthy eat your heart out...
