Hot Spring

It's been snowing all day today. So we went looking for a nice warm picture. This is one of the hot springs in the centre of the city and the steam is meant to be beneficial to people with breathing problems.

However, I think it smells like a big, eggy fart and this piece of local folklore is nothing more than laughing at gullible tourists. Oh and you´re not meant to drink more than a litre of the water on any given day. I do wonder why.

The different colours are actually just the sediments(orange & yellow)/algae (green) in the water and are really quite thick now.

I´ve been told that a childhood game (or indeed as a 20 year old and drunk) was to walk up to the edge of the little fountain and cover it with your foot, let the pressure build and then run away as fast as you can as the water sprays a lot higher into the sky.
