World AIDS Day

AIDS and HIV are such a big deal, locally and globally. Just reading some blogs lately I realised how much I didn't know, about things like post exposure treatment and how successfully people can respond to medication. It's not a gay disease, it's not a lifestyle disease. People need education to prevent avoidable exposure and sufferers need support. And overseas in developing countries the situation is desperate.

Tonight I'll be dancing my ass off with Katherine Ellis and some guys called the Freemasons (?) at a World Aids Day party. It's going to be great, and for a very good cause, the National AIDS Trust.

Wearing my ribbon with pride.

(oh and I'm still wearing that fluffy hat!)
