First Light

As soon as I had registered my Kindle with Amazon and gone to the storefront homepage I saw on the recommended for you list First Light by Geoffrey Wellum, a Battle of Britain Spitfire pilot. As I hadn't read it I clicked the button and the next minute I was reading it. Very neat. Although an abandoned episode of presses on the Buy button could very soon see you spending a fair bit more than you would after half an hour in Waterstones.
One day I think I shall have read all the WW2 RAF fighter pilot memoirs ever written! I never tire of reading about the pristine joy and unadulterated fear and sadness that these young airmen experienced.
