i hunt runners for sport

example: advert for reebok, 'i am what i am' campaign; "i hunt runners for sport"
source: http://www.ibelieveinadv.com/2006/10/reebok-runners-head-games/

analysis:
"i hunt runners for sport.
i chase them.
with grim persistence.
i hear their failing steps.
and smile.
i am the shark.
the other sharks fear."

i like the following two the best because it uses believable things typically found in a (city) runner's surroundings and establishes them as embodying the motivaton that encourages a runner to continue and go that extra mile.

in this particular example, the runner pictured could be imagining that the shark on the billboard is hunting him. or more likely, the runner is imagining that he is the shark on that billboard and that every sea creature smaller than him is beneath him on the food chain, and thus, fearful.

it's just like how i used to imagine that i am a tireless hockey player in an attempt to victoriously plough through all my university reading, essays, and weekly assignments.
