A Sasanach's Skye photos

The Monument to the Commandos

This was the area that was used to train commandos. It is close to Spein Bridge about 14 miles north of Fort William in Scotland. Whenever I travel to and from Glasgow I pass the Monument but rarely do I stop because it is so familiar.

We were returning from Glasgow where my wife and I witnessed the capping of our daughter and the presentation of her certificate upon the successful completion of her PhD.

We went down a few days ago driving through some very cold areas where the lowest temperature was -12 degrees Centigrade. It was very beautiful but alas I was unable to stop and take photographs. Our return today has been a lot warmer, though still very snowy.
