The last thing Jack Duckworth saw

Chris and I had a look in the BBC's 1930s shop which is in Bradford for three days as part of the BBCs Turnback time series.

Bread was quite expensive around 1930s due to the American dustbowl & failing wheat crops. A lot of UKs food began to be imported rather than home grown!

I never realised that many people in the 30's though fruit was dirty and unhealthy!? I find this hard to believe lol was it a joke by a BBC researcher?
