Twycross Starling

Got this shot during a very cold field trip to Twycross Zoo to observe primate behaviour. Unfortunately, due to the icy conditions, almost nothing was behaving to any significant degree.

The zoo's resident Starling (Sturnus vulgaris) population was worth the trip though. They are very intelligent birds and always amusing to watch as they squabble and forage.
