Port Askaig

A very remote port on Islay, an isle of the Scottish Hebrides. These boats are about to sail to Atlantic Ocean. I was delighted to notice that I had accidentally captured one of the fishermen stretching on the dock before boarding his boat on an early Sunday morning. The snowy peaks in the background rise above everything beyond the strait called Sound of Islay (Caol Ila) on the even more isolated isle of Jura.
