Same but different

Pleasingly, clearing (whittling down and blowing) the huge wall of compacted snow that the plowers left at the foot of the drive, took me no more than ten minutes to do. Perhaps the mantra from yesterday altered my psyche or perhaps I simply have it down to a science.

The city does too. They declare a snow emergency which means all cars go on one side of the street or other (odd or even numbered, specified by them), they come by with a convoy of three trucks and salt. Today*, all the cars are expected to be be moved to the other side of the street and the process repeats.

*The Internet was down all last night. Turns out I can live without it, after all.
