Catch the light

PS: I'll be back soon. iMac at the Apple store (lost without you baby)

Welcome back dear sunshine
For you were sorely missed
My fingers stretched to catch the light
Most longing for a kiss
I missed the kiss
For too much mist
The sun for far too long amiss
Yet from that dark and wintry abyss
Today oh joy! at last! that bliss!

One of silly Mama's silliest poems yet.

In other news, a morning at school for Reuben, in the parent's room watching Reuben on the TV screens, reading stories to Callum and talking to some of the other mums about assessments and special ed., Reuben taking the Big Blue Bus with his foot taller than him friends and teachers to the library, meeting Callum and I there for storytime, playing on the library's computers so as not to break Mama's keyboard and mouse at home, Mama typing words, Reuben reading them (Mama happy - this is a great new educ-game she thinks), a long wait in the hospital whilst the Dr was performing an emergency surgery, then a date set with ENT for surgery on 18 January to have Reuben's trach stoma closed up and then we can put the endless drainage, wiping and questions "Why does he have a hole in his throat?" to rest. Will combine this with botox (Mama asks plastic surgeon: "If there's any left over, can I have some please?". Very handsome plastic surgeon doesn't laugh) to try to loosen Reuben's neck torticollis, although it's more likely that he'll need a more intense surgery than mere botox to succeed. Never easy juggling two toddler boys in the hospital waiting room, but lovely to be approached by a former, now elderly, teacher with a compliment for having done so. And if anyone knows of any good knee pads for shockingly bad knees to help me with photography and the boys, I'm all ears. Seriously.

PS An apology for being a "stranger" to all. Not easy juggling things right now and getting stick for when I do go online so sadly I Blip, see a few images on the homepage, don't get to comment and am off. Not in the spirit of Blip that I love at all. Being described as having "more free time than anyone I know" kind of jerks.
