The Effects of Flying

Can someone explain this effect to me? Everytime I fly I can see the reflection of the sun on the ground, on the clouds, on everything. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe an effect of the reflection of the sun off of the plane hitting the same sopt on the ground as the reflection of the sun on the ground in relation to the plane.
Funny thing is I never thought about that until just now while I was typing this up. UNtil I get a better explanation I'll just use that one.
