Shute Gatehouse

So, this is where we whisked mother away to, Shute Gatehouse owned by the National Trust and leased to the Landmark Trust. I'm a HUGE fan of Landmark Trust, having holidayed in several of their, frankly, amazing buildings in the past few years. Each one is a treat and a delight to stay in, you never get over the feeling of 'Am I really allowed to stay here?'

Shute is located near Axminster and a week of food-related activites has been planned; we'll be going to The Wild Garlic in Beaminster and taking a trip to The River Cottage Canteen in Axminster, I'll say it again, my mum is a lucky woman.
