Scruffy horse

Its been a beauty of a day today although cold with a touch of ground frost. I spotted this fella early on this morning when the sky was at its best and just loved his scruffy dispostion. There were two of them in the field both wearing coats so I had a chat to them and gave them a bit of a stroke.

I've uploaded some others which I also liked here and here, which do you prefer and why, and is there anything I could have done differently.
