Though probably more to do with the position sampling frequency that the actual path taken, the relatively straight track I recorded on the way in this morning on hard-packed snow contrasts nicely with the slightly wibblier track recorded with a slightly inferior application and reflected the wibblier progress necessary on pavements as genuinely slippy as described elsewhere. Montgomery Street in particular is almost uniformly icy along both sides of the pavement with very few spots of still-crunchy air-filled loose ice at the edges to get the odd bit of grip from. The good thing is that (side-streets aside) the roads' dose of melt today mean that enough of the on-road rutty lumps have disappeared sufficiently to provide at least one rideable route to work with my wheels of limited road contact area. Probably not tomorrow, though, with the winter festive period meal thing interrupting the journey home.
