winter morning pleasure

every saturday morning, there's this fight between sleep and riding...thankfully riding has been wining hands down till now...today's ride was the longest of what I've ridden in the past few weeks...did a good 70km round trip...the area was not new to me but when you're riding a bicycle, each time you see the place with new eyes...there were flower fields on either side of the road, there were lakes, tea joints and what not...sun was playing hide and seek this morning, making it an almost perfect weather for riding...there were quite a few off-road tracks shooting off from the road we were riding on, but today, it was a conscious decision to stick to the tar road and leave the off-road trails for future exploration...being just 3 regular riders, riding speed was quite good...most of the time we were clocking 25-30 km/hr...I was somewhat surprised that I was able to keep up with them at that speed...time to take on and plan for longer rides...

these 3-4 hours of riding on Saturday morning makes the rest of the week worth living for...

...and now time for the chicken curry-rice lunch that's already smelling delicious! :)
