Christmas friends

I dragged put the Christmas decorations this week to cheer myself up in all the snow. These guys hide the legs on the tree and I knitted the snowman when the children were small. Santa and the small snowman came from my dad's cousin who used to reel these toys off at a remarkable rate of knots. I think of her now in full time care and her incapacity to think for herself (well, she thinks she's on a cruise and frequently complains about the poor service on the ship). These toys remind me that her brain was able to interpret complex information and that she loved the children very much.
