Fantasy snow

I live in Edinburgh and we've had a lot of snow recently. So will many of you have had. This is a fibre optic 'village' that my Dad bought for my mum one Christmas, and she puts it up every year. From the number of plugs and batteries that are running over Christmas in my mum's smallish flat, she must have a carbon footprint the size of China.....
However, look at this scene....
No one has cleared their path. No one has gone from house to house helping their neighbours. And plainly there have been no deliveries to the village recently. So remember, when you look at this sort of Christmas card scene - think about the shovelling, and the soggy cold. That's the reality of a white ~Christmas - not this!
