Wheal Sisters Mine

This is the old engine house from the Wheal Sisters mine. It was worked from about 1820 to 1900 and the engine house is now just a shell. Given that it was a massive industry here a century or so ago its amazing how little evidence is left. There are odd bits of structure here and there but most are covered in Ivy or just a bit of rubble in the corner of a field.
