Ute Dog

Last morning on Easter Island. Will be sad to leave this wonderful place - tho I have to say the thin walls of the cabin we were staying at were definately wearing thin after waking up and going to sleep every night to the sounds on the loud Irish "$·! in the next room shouting and singing from dawn to dusk. The first morning we were treated to Mull of Kintyre at the top of his (none too tuneful) voice and it basically got worse from there.Thank God M brought thr ipod speakers to drown him out.

This is one of the many island dogs - the Chileans don´t believe in chopping off the "cojones" of any animal- hence the island is over populated with dogs and horses.

Back in Santiago tonight for one night at an airport hotel (free internet hurrah) before an early flight tomorrow down South, where were are doing a 10 day trek. Doubt we will have internet access for a while now, so I will say Merry Christmas to you all just in case!
