Daylilies

Hemerocallis

This is rather a simple form of the daylily. What it lacks in sophistication of form it makes up in abundance. The clump has more than eighty flower stems, each with about ten buds. The flowers last only a few hours. These blooms had collapsed before 5pm. Lovely in large.

A hot day, with sunshine and a warm nor'wester. The mountains appeared for the first time since I blipped two of the peaks 6 days ago.

Scottish blippers, safe from the UV rays, might spare a thought for their compatriot.
