Frozen food

The return of snowy weather has caused the pool to freeze again.

I remembered to take bread for the ducks. Someone else had the same idea, so there were two of us tempting the birds across the pool. They are so used to being fed that it doesn't take much to get them to come over!

I was struck by the slices of bread frozen under the birds' feet and wonder if they'll be good for the birds to eat later.....
