Peter Pan - Toronto

This is one of seven statues of Peter Pan around the world; one of replicas of the original in Kensington Gardens, London, England. This on is from 1929 and resides in Glenn Gould Park in mid-town Toronto. I used visit this as a child in the 1950s and 60s when visiting the nearby pediatrician - appropriately named Dr. Goodchild. I have very fond memories of this sculpture with its many lovely animals (squirrels, mice, rabbits) and fairies around the stump upon which Peter plays his flute. It's nice to see it is still there and in good shape for more children to enjoy. When I'm in the area, I'll blip it again in detail.
