On My Doorstep

Fashion Shoot - 3

In the early 1970s I met a man in Edinburgh who always wore a dark brown cloak. He carried it off very well, swishing here and swishing there. I was so taken by this that I asked my wife to make me one - and she did! Here it is.

You'll never get this but I'll ask you anyway: what manner of man would wear a cloak in Edinburgh in the early 1970s?

An interesting snippet is that it was last worn out and about by my wife when she went to the university to see how she'd done in her final exams.

Now it is confined to the dressing up box (which is now to be called the blipping box). Still, the moths like it!
