Snow cap

We went for a walk on the beach at Ballantrae today.

There's snow lying on the sand ... our neighbours have lived here for 30 years and say they haven't seen that happen here before!

For those who don't know the area, the rock out to sea is called Ailsa Craig. It's the plug of an ancient volcano and is approximately 3/4 mile in diameter. It's granite is used to make Curling stones.
