Land of Enchantment

Two Winter Cottonwoods

It was warm and cloudy today. All the snow has melted and the irrigation ditch road was muddy. My shoes got totally caked with mud, but I was determined to get one blip today. If I don't extend my telephoto lens adapter all the way out, I get a kind of circle around the photo. But I sort of liked the way it looked. Behind the trees you can see the snow on Sandia has not melted. In fact the ski slopes are opening tomorrow. The top of the mountain has been covered by clouds for 2 days. Since the valley is completely dominated by Sandia Mountain, it is a little disorienting when all or part of it disappears.
